Children’s Nature Art Camp – Wild Roots Studio
Join Wild Roots Studio for five days of engaging with nature through art during their Children’s Nature Art Camps at Art Lab. These camps combine nature walks, environmental education, and nature-based art for five days of fun.
Children’s Nature Art Camps are to open children ages 5 to 10. Wild Roots Studio will host two camps at Art Lab, the first running from Monday, June 12 through Friday, June 16 and the second running from Monday, July 24 through Friday, July 28th.
From 9am to 3pm each day, participants learn about the environment, enjoy nature walks and scavenger hunts, and create nature-based art such as gnome houses and nature collage self-portraits. At the end of the week, participants decorate Old Town Square with their earth art and share their creations with the community at their very own Earth Art Show.
Wild Roots Studio encourages community members to prioritize sustainability by fostering connections to nature through art. Alie Rich founded Wild Roots Studio in 2013. She believes that “the foundation for sustainability starts with our daily choices of what we value and care for” and works to foster care for the environment in individuals by helping them experience the magic and amazement of nature through art. Wild Roots Studio offers a variety of workshops and activities for community members of all ages to engage with their environment.
The Children’s Nature Art Camp is $170 per child. Families registering more than one child will receive a $10 per session discount for each sibling by using the code “FAMILY10” when registering.
