Life Drawing/Painting with Joe McHugh

Life Drawing/Painting with Joe McHugh is a class designed to build skill in gesture, proportion, value, figure blocking and figure painting concepts. The class is geared toward high school and college students and is limited to 20 participants. Students have the opportunity to add more advanced techniques to their understanding of figure drawing. Specific proportions, bone structures and muscle groups are introduced. Poses vary from 30 seconds to 45 minutes. Models are clothed. Long poses will be provided at the end of the week for more in depth work in watercolor, oil, ink, conte or charcoal. Drawing paper, newsprint and charcoal will be provided. Joe McHugh has over 25 years of experience teaching drawing and painting in Fort Collins and holds a degree in Fine Art as well a Master’s Degree in Education and a Minor in Biology.

This session is February 3 through March 10 Tuesday nights from 7:00 to 9:30 pm.
