We aim to build a community based around shared creative interest in music and sound that pushes beyond the boundaries and limitations of the commercialized music industry. Noise Floor is a drug and alcohol free\, all ages safe space for artists to come together and share their experiments with like-minded people in a supportive environment centered on appreciation of art rather than commercial posturing and beer sales.

SUMMARY:Expanding Into Space
DESCRIPTION:Students from CSU’s Photo Image-Making III course take photography to a whole new level in this exhibition. The one steady and fast rule when you visit a gallery or museum is DO NOT TOUCH THE ARTWORK! DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS! DO NOT CLIMB OR SIT! You have to be cautious and keep a distance from the art. This exhibition throws those rules to the wind. Expanding Into Space expands how photographs can be interacted with\, how they can transport us or distance us from somewhere or something\, how we can move around and through photographs\, and where photographs can exist\, and how they can make or transform a space. Expanding Into Space uses photography in an interdisciplinary mode of making to challenge preconceptions of what a photograph and photography is and can be\, its material qualities\, and the power of the image. The included work goes beyond the simple photographic print\, and moves into sculpture\, installation\, mixed media\, and more. Students are grappling with the questions: What is a photograph and what is photography? How does photography\, seen or unseen\, affect us in our daily lives? How does one embody a photograph and project their ideas and thoughts onto an image? How does a photograph embody us and project it’s ideas and thoughts onto us? What power does photography hold and how can we harness that power? DESCRIPTION:The greatest inspiration I feel is from going on the road with nothing but my camera and recording the unexpected things\, people and places I see. This exhibtion presents brief snapshots of a wide variety of places I been over my life\, from the endless skies of the Badlands in South Dakota to the breathtaking plant life of the Biopark in ABQ\, the streets and alleyways of Chicago and Barcelona\, and my own humble hometown of Flint\, MI. My greatest hope for this exhibition is that it provides the audience the vicarious thrill of a life lived on the road.\n\nEvent is May 8th\, 2025 starting at 8:00am until 2:00pm.\nShow is free to attend\, artwork available for sale.
