DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, November 3rd 10am-2pm @ Wild Roots Art Barn\nSaturday\, November 16th 4-8pm @ The Art Lab Fort Collins \nJoin us in November for a two-day pottery and nature art workshop series. This workshop includes Sunday\, November 3rd\, 10am-2pm workshop held at the Wild Roots Art Barn and Saturday\, November 16th 4-8pm (Parents Night Out) held at the Art Lab in Old Town Fort Collins. In these classes we will be creating pottery and other nature-based art crafts. Projects made in the class can be kept as keepsakes or perfect gifts to be given away for the holidays. This class is aimed for kids 5-10. \nThe Sunday class will be held at the Wild Roots Art Barn (see directions below). Please pack a water bottle and lunch for your child. During this class we will be making nature crafts and working with pottery. \nIn the Saturday evening class we will be finishing our art projects and enjoying autumn inspired stories. Please pack a water bottle\, lunch box dinner (dinner option will be also be offered for an extra charge) and cozy making items (stuffies\, blanket and pillow). We will be providing popcorn and cider to enjoy during storytelling time! \nThe two days allow us time to dry our pottery to apply glaze on the last class before being fired at Smokestack Pottery. SUMMARY:Thinking Outside the Studio
DESCRIPTION:“Thinking Outside the Studio” by Jennifer Brakefield and Scott Lenaway showcases the efforts of both artists to experiment with different ways of creating work beyond the traditional in-studio process. Traditional painting and printmaking rely on predictable processes\, perfect lighting and ideal materials. Over the course of the past year and a half the artists have opted to remove the predictability that comes from the safety of working in a studio setting and instead have sought out non-traditional materials\, sources and inspiration. This exhibition includes work made En Plein-Air often with limited materials and palettes\, prints and drawings made on recycled materials and woodcuts made with weathered wood blocks. \nMonday – Wednesday: 10am – 8pm

Exhibiting new work by Elizabeth Grace\, The World Ender is Back for Halloween explores the artist’s visions of anxiety\, grief and goodness in existence–using their characters and cartoons and taking angles of story-telling and monster-slaying. As though these sparkledogs could slay dragons\, or their old friends.
