Yet Mystery and Reality Emerge from the Same Source

Art is the overflow of emotion into action. -Brian Raif
Katie Walker sees making art as a way of processing and exploring the human experience, so this show will be an artistic expression of the challenges and emotions she’s experienced in the last two years. Usually, her paintings start with a concept she wants to explore or a question she wants to answer. Throughout the process of painting, she tends to work through feelings surrounding that concept or discovering the answers to questions. While the topics of this exhibition range, the common thread is that they are a tangible manifestation of Katie’s perception of my inner world and the outer world around me. She will show her personal work on May 6th, 7th, and 8th.
Katie will also be hosting adult art skills explorations where aspiring artists will participate in workshops that improve their skills in rendering realistic drawings and paintings. These workshops will take place on May 12th, 13th, and 14th with a cumulative show on Sunday May 15th. Here the artists can display their practice and final works of art for friends, family, and the community.
