Yin Yoga consists in holding a relaxed posture or passive stretch for typically 3-5 minutes, exerting positive stress on the subtle body tissues, as a way to trigger the body’s natural repair response leading to stronger and more supple joints.
Yin Yoga addresses in particular the “opening” of the restriction or feelings of “tightness” within our fasciaor connective tissues, therefore deeply enhancing the space for the muscles and the joints to move freely with, plus improving calmness of mind, relaxation and relief from negative feelings of worry and anxiety.
