11/11/21 marks the 1-year anniversary for a fundraising campaign Kiki helped her “cousin” (friend) Hugo put together to raise money for his legal & living expenses while his immigration proceedings process. He is originally from Guatemala and came to the U.S. after he and his sister escaped murder by a local gang… Hugo arrived in the U.S. when he was 16. He is now 19, attends FoCo High School, and lives in FoCo.

Kiki and Hugo created a “Gratitude Wall” in their living room as a reminder to be grateful for, even during a time when life seems so stressful and heavy. Each paper star on the fabric wall represents a person who donated to his page and/or somehow supported Hugo and Kiki throughout this journey….

For one night — Nov. 22nd (Monday)— Hugo and Kiki’s Gratitude Wall will hang at Art Lab. All who donated + local community members are invited to stop by to say hi, take a look and pause to reflect on how far we all came in supporting Hugo achieve his dreams!
