Sculpture BFA Presentation :: The Poetic Exists Where Mind Meets Space
December 8, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm
A culmination of the 4 years of thinking, reading, & making from a Sculpture BFA student (Kelsey Gruber) at Colorado State. In our everyday lives, grief and ecstasy are interwoven into even the most mundane. The places we seek in our homes & minds for routine or otherwise evoke senses of comfort, dread, and even magic.
“The Poetic Exists Where Mind Meets Space” showcases an array of mixed media works from Kelsey that represent these magical and mundane spaces in unexpected ways.
Attendance is free.
There will be an open reception with more from the artist on Saturday, December 10th around 4pm for anyone interested.
Kelsey Gruber is a Sculpture major at Colorado State University. Her work explores the phenomenon of death as a portal, and shifts the way we look at death through various preservations of found and dead materials.
The exhibition will be open December 8-10 from 2-7 pm each day, and there will be a gallery talk on December 8 at 6:00 pm.
Anyone is welcome to attend.
