Erik received the bulk of his training at the prestigious New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. He graduated at the top of his class in the theater department and was the second artist in the history of the school to be invited back to perform the following year. While at this Arts Conservatory he hosted a local children’s TV show, performed in a 60 show tour with the NOCCA Mime Troupe, and studied all aspects of theater arts. His second week at LSU Erik was guest lecturing in theater and speech classes on the art of mime. While at LSU, Erik did many local and regional TV commercials, industrial films, and independent film projects working with the likes of Stephen Soderbergh and Pruitt Taylor Vince. He also began hosting as an MC and performing as a feature act at local comedy clubs. In 2004 Erik performed in Hollywood California At the Second Annual Los Angeles Improv Comedy Festival. This year will be the 22nd year that Erik has performed his Mime and Comedy show at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.

In the near future Erik hopes to add Voice and Diction, Abstract Mask and Movement Interpretation, and On Camera Audition Techniques for TV Commercials to the list of classes he offers at the Art Lab.
