Articulate City will kick off 2011 with a collaborative effort to help local artists. Join us for the Art Lab Supper Club Sneak Preview. Articulate City members and guests will eat, drink, and act as an audience for local artists who are participating in the Supper Club presentations on Jan. 22nd.
Articulate City preview gives each artist an opportunity to “perfect the pitch” by getting advice from us on what works – and what doesn’t. They get feedback, we get fed: via a potluck dinner we all provide. (Articulate City will supply the adult refreshments). Best of all, the artist deemed the evening’s “Articulate City’s Choice Winner” by popular vote receives a cash prize funded by the evening’s ticket sales, which they can put toward their project. Why a Perfect Your Pitch Preview Night?
- It’s like a dress rehearsal, only with the opportunity for more money and accolades for one artist (whoever wins on 1/15) and a chance for all artists to improve on their pitches for the Big Kahuna event on 1/22. Meaning maybe somebody else wins on 1/22 based on improving their ask – that’s a possibility.
