Art Lab is proud to share our space with local artist Bill Henson Friday & Saturday August 27 and 28.

A glimpse of Bill’s work in his own words:

I am a local Latino artist who grew up in Fort Collins. I taught Art at a Middle School in Denver and also in the Peace Corps (Botswana 1989-1991).  I graduated from CSU with a degree in Art Education in 1989, with an emphasis in sculpture-bronze casting.

Although my painting has evolved over the last 6 years, in regards to my more recent work, I am sometimes puzzled by what I paint on a canvas. It seems that I am at times consciously and subconsciously trying to connect to the unreal or to the unknown yet possibly real that may exist elsewhere. I am influenced by surrealism, cubism, and futurism.
