On April 26th and 27th, Art Lab Fort Collins will be hosting the two graduating seniors of the CSU sculpture department, Hannah Steiner and Julian Dillon, for their Off-Campus BFA Exhibition. The exhibition, titled Installing an Idea, will be open on April 26th from 6-9 pm and on April 27th from 3-7 pm. The event will display both of the artists’ work which is primarily mixed media installation. Hannah and Julian’s art explores form, function, and content through the use of materials and their arrangement within space. Hannah’s work involves the construction of form, typically driven by the use of textiles. These sculptures are often a transformation of micro-biological forms expanded into a macroscopic scale. Julian’s work consists of the combining of different mediums such as painting, sculpture, and video, and is often driven by concepts of domestic spaces and behaviors. The exhibition of these young artists’ work will provide intriguing explorations of material, composition, and content and demonstrate some of the ideals and artistic achievements within the CSU sculpture department.
