First Friday, October 2
6:00 to 7:30 pm

Music lovers visiting the Art Lab are in for a treat during October’s First Friday Gallery Walk.

Suzuki music students will share their music with Art Walk revelers.  These musicians, aged four and up, study violin, cello and classical guitar with private Suzuki music teachers in the Fort Collins area.

The Suzuki method of music education was developed in Japan over forty years ago.  The method follows the general principals of language acquisition and involves creating a nurturing musical environment for all students.  Some of the special features of the Suzuki approach are parent involvement, loving encouragement, constant repetition, listening and group classes.

Students are busily preparing their pieces and look forward to performing them at the Art Lab on First Friday.  If you would like general information about the Suzuki method, check out the website for the Suzuki Association of the Americas (www.suzukiassociation.org).
