Art Show Event:
This event is one of our first major fundraisers of the year and a chance to bring together two historically interlaced Art disciplines — music and visual arts. By participating in the general show sale you’ll have the added benefit of giving back to the community and helping to support our free and low cost sliding fee scale music education programs for the next generation of creative thinkers and audiences. Our programming of music education for youth and their families as well as producing professional Arts and Science based music festival programs, is year round and focuses on the expansion of a collaborative and diverse Arts and Science culture in Fort Collins for all ages.

The Art Show Gallery will be open from Wed. Jan 20 – 23, with our main Fort Collins event taking place on Friday, January 22nd, 7pm featuring KAL, Kevin Kallaugher, the editorial cartoonist for The Economist for over 35 years, and Bruce Adolphe, our co-artistic director and The Piano Puzzler on Performance Today since 2002, in a performance event, called Cartoons and Hidden Tunes: getting serious about laughter! The hilarious and entertaining nature of both these major talents at the pinnacle of their respective fields is not to be missed. A definite high profile opportunity with a chance to see both of them live, in action and meet them in person. KAL will additionally present his technique of capturing images in fast paced caricatures that have wowed audiences for over 3 decades. With paper and pencil on hand for all to try out his technique firsthand, this is a must for our local artists! This is a ticketed event that artists are encouraged to attend, for a reduced fee. This fundraiser event will additionally include a small silent auction, unique raffle items, gourmet dessert creations and perfectly paired wines.

OtH Arts Winter Music Fest, January 21 – 25, in Boulder and Fort Collins.

Off the Hook Arts brings together KAL, Kevin Kallaugher, the editorial cartoonist for The Economist for over 35 years, and Bruce Adolphe, our co-artistic director and The Piano Puzzler on Performance Today since 2002, in a performance event, benefiting Off the Hook Arts, called Cartoons and Hidden Tunes: getting serious about laughter!

OtH Arts features these two seriously funny and engaging artists doing and discussing their craft. How does Kal create his weekly political cartoons that are always funny, thought-provoking, and serious all at once? How does Bruce Adolphe create his weekly piano puzzlers, combining familiar tunes with classical masterpieces in ever-surprising mashups? And if they get together — as they will in Fort Collins— what on earth will happen with Kal at the easel and Bruce at the piano?
