In Jeanette’s own words:

I am Jeanette Yanez, a Poudre High School sophomore in the IB Program. Our year long project to exit the Middle Years Program is something called a Personal Project. We spend all year working outside of school organizing the final project to present to the community as well as our program and panel of teacher judges. I chose to photograph women who have overcome obstacles or are in some form admirable. Women who have changed over the time and have learned to become whatever they wish to be by believing in themselves. I hope that this project is an eye opener to others to appreciate the women in their lives along with giving other women, from any age group, someone to admire. This project and my inspiration is my mother who passed away in January of 2008.
